When you drive into the parking lot, you won't be impressed by the exterior...but don't let the humble exterior fool you -- this place is fantastic. During my first experience here, my husband and I arrived around 1pm on Sunday afternoon...and the entire dining area was packed. My hubby turned to me and whispered - "This can't be accidental." He was right. Several members of the waitstaff acknowledged us (which was really appreciated), and we only had to wait about 8 minutes for a table. We totally understood. It's busy, you'll have to wait for seat. And yet the servers kept apologizing for the wait, hustling to meet the needs of the customers and doing everything they could to make the experience wonderful. It was obvious. The waitstaff actually cared a great deal for the diners. And even though it was super busy, we received our food in record time. That is impressive in itself.

Additionally, we were surprised by the enormous portions! During my very first visit here, I ordered the chef salad, which was loaded with meat, eggs and fresh veggies on top of a ton of lettuce (I hate it when places skimp on lettuce so I was stoked). My husband ordered the chili cheeseburger with red chili. We also split an order of cheese fries with green chili -- so good! The burger was fantastic in portion size and taste and everything else was wonderful...with leftovers to go.

Quick note: Before I paid this place a visit, my friends mentioned that the diner actually smells of livestock. No, I'm not kidding. As you walk into the parking lot, you'll notice that a livestock auction ring is next to the restaurant. Once inside, you'll forget it's there. The clientele are ranchers and cowboys taking a break from buying cows, and the atmosphere is congenial and happy. So just remember the smell...but also remember that you will get used to it rather quickly.

One notable asset is that their specials of the day are homemade - burgers are hand-pattied and grilled, and the salads are fresh. During my second visit, I ordered a patty melt with their sidewinder fries (a must have!) and a side salad with ranch dressing , all were excellent. My hubby had ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the same salad. He said to me - "Once again, fantastic."

The kitchen crew also brews their own iced tea (regular and sweetened), and our server (named 'Kimber') was an angel; telling us the story on how the marriage of livestock exchange, bank, restaurant, massage parlor, hair and nail salon, and a jewelry store all manage to stay happy and most definitely relevant. The conversation itself was a treat.

Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast to kickstart your day, a savory sandwich for lunch, or a mouthwatering dinner entrée, Drovers has it all. Their friendly staff provides top-notch service, making you feel like part of the family. Don't forget to explore their dessert selection; it's a sweet ending that you won't want to miss. With its dedication to quality, Drovers Culinary Cafe is undoubtedly a must-visit spot in Brush, where good food and warm hospitality come together seamlessly.
