Best Sandwiches in Trinidad, CO: Tees Me Treat Me

I spend a great deal of time driving in and out of Trinidad, CO. For years, I used to provide shipping and delivery services to Mt. San Rafael Hospital and the Trinidad Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. And, as you can imagine, being a delivery driver has allowed me to embark on a unique journey of learning the intricate web of streets and businesses within my local community. As I navigate the bustling little town of Trinidad, I had come to appreciate the beauty in discovering hidden gems and local establishments that often go unnoticed by the hurried passerby. And over time, since 2017, there's one little sandwich shop that became a regular haunting ground when hunger would strike - Tees Me Treat Me.

Tees Me Treat Me in Trinidad, Colorado is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a delightful culinary experience. Nestled in the heart of this charming town, this quaint eatery is a haven for food enthusiasts. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.

Ever better, Tees Me Treat Me also offers a relaxing patio that has massive advantages compared to eating in your car. The patio is adorable, spacious and provides a more enjoyable dining experience. Take it from me, a former delivery driver - I'd spend many lunches eating behind my steering wheel. I would always make a note to enjoy a great meal at Tees Me Treat Me while enjoying the murals and listening to people eat, drink and laugh for lunch.

The menu at Tees Me Treat Me is a fusion of comfort food and innovative flavors. Their signature dishes, the paninis, is a must-try. If you're not familiar with them, a panini is a type of grilled sandwich that originates from Italy. The word "panini" is the plural form of "panino," which means "small bread" in Italian. A panini is typically made using a specific type of bread, often a baguette or ciabatta, which is usually long and narrow. The bread is sliced horizontally, and the sandwich is filled with a variety of ingredients such as meats (like ham, turkey, or roast beef), cheeses (commonly mozzarella, cheddar, or Swiss), vegetables (such as tomatoes, lettuce, or roasted red peppers), and condiments (like mayonnaise, mustard, or pesto). At Tees Me Treat Me, you can order a delicious panini that is served warmed and toasted (by grilling or pressing), that's up to you. Each panini is served with a pickle spear and your choice of a Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie or a bag of regular potato chips. It's a fantastic lunch.

But, my personal favorite is their Reuben sandwich. Sadly, they aren't popular in Colorado. You'd expect them to gain more fans in perhaps Dallas or New York. But the Reubens at Tees Me Treat Me are sensational. A great Reuben sandwich is a culinary masterpiece that combines several key elements to create a harmonious and satisfying flavor profile. Here are the factors that contribute to making a Reuben sandwich truly exceptional: Ingredients, sauces, sandwiches, grilling and presentation make all the difference. And at Tees Me Treat Me, you get a great one. I've eaten Reuben Sandwiches all over the USA and ultimately, a great Reuben sandwich is a delightful combination of flavors and textures, where each component is thoughtfully chosen and prepared to perfection. Tees Me Treat Me offers this classic comfort sandwich that is done right; transporting your taste buds to a place of pure satisfaction and culinary delight.

In the heart of our charming small town, Tees Me Treat Me stands as a beacon of quaintness and cuteness. Nestled amidst the serene streets of Main Steet (In the Columbian Hotel at corner of Main & Commercial), it invites patrons to savor not only the delightful sandwiches but also the simple pleasures of life.

With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and an array of mouthwatering sandwiches, this hidden gem promises an unforgettable dining experience that's as comforting as the town itself. Whether you're seeking solace in a quiet corner or soaking in the small-town charm on its inviting patio, this little eatery captures the essence of relaxation and warmth, making it a must-visit for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

When in Trinidad, one must stop by Tees Me Treat Me for a Reuben and a drink. You won't be disappointed.
