Bin 707 Foodbar - Best farm-to-table Hot Spot in Grand Junction

How I first found this spot - my sister and I happened to be passing through Grand Junction because it had an EV charger and stopping here was one of the best serendipitous moments of a common road trip. My sister was with me and we hopped online to find the best recommendations for dining. This spot, Bin 707 Food Bar was highly recommended. And after first discovering this place, I've experience three fantastic meals...so far.

Everything we ate was wonderful! I started with the Western Limeade which was surprisingly creamy like a key lime pie as a drink and my sister and I split the sunflower and white bean hummus. It was amazing; the plate was wiped clean. We didn't leave a bite behind. I highly recommend it if you visit this eatery.

For a main course, I had the salmon BLT (I've never heard such a thing ever existed) and I positively loved it! The dill and vinegar fries are delicious and anyone a fan of salt and vinegar chips will enjoy these. They were the perfect side order for the sandwich. For dessert, my sister and I did our best to split the chocolate caramel and pretzel pie but were just too full to finish so we took a portion of it to-go. If we weren't on a road trip, we would have gotten another pie to-go. it was that good. And after my first experience, I knew I would return again.

I stopped by for a second visit when I was on my way to Glenwood Springs for work. Since this was my second time eating here, I decided to give something truly special a try. My co-worker and I started with some appetizers and beer and they were fantastic. We ended up ordering the trout rillette, steak tartare, and the beet salad. Outstanding items on the menu, we kept talking about the deliciousness throughout the meal.

Here's something unique that I love about this spot - Bin 707 Foodbar uses pork rinds in many their dishes. Not only does it offer a great flavor, but it gives you an extra-savory crunch. The steak tartare itself was awesome, I actually think I enjoyed the meal even more than my first visit. I sampled a small portion of my friend's trout rillette - unique, really enjoyable. it reminds me if a 'trout dip with house made chips.' The beet salad was also unique and delicious. During our lunch, the servers were very attentive and answered all of our questions. My friend/co-worker said - 'This was awesome. I would come back here anytime I'm in Grand Junction! These guys are awesome!"

During my third and final visit (again, so far), I came here alone. I started with a local glass of orange wine and then ordered a Cheese & Charcuterie plate. The meats, cheeses, pickles, preserves and sourdough were savory, plentiful and delicious. The chorizo and pickled mustard seed combination is an excellent blend to complement the flavors. I moved on to the Bone-In Pork Katsu and I'm so happy I made this decision! Even though I'm a sucker for a breaded cutlet, I expected something truly different. The dish was stunning - both in appearance, portion size and flavor - perfectly breaded, a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat on the inside. I was amazed. It was accompanied by an apple fennel slaw and green chile jus (we're in Colorado after all), I can't emphasize how fantastic this entrée was.

After three fantastic experiences, I knew that this spot was worthy of a top quality blog post.

After three completely different experiences, I can honestly say that this spot is probably one of the best dining experiences I've had while traveling for work, especially in Grand Junction. The service and the atmosphere were world class and the food I cannot even describe how fresh and how perfectly executed all of appetizers and entrees were. Definitely one of the highlights of my eating experiences in this area. If you are anywhere near Grant Junction and hunger pains begin to surface, come to Bin 707 Food Bar! You will be very happy with your meal.
