Duemani: Exquisite fine dining in Snowmass, Colorado (Aspen)

Snowmass is a small city that is nestled in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. A picturesque mountain town that epitomizes the quintessential Rocky Mountain experience. Renowned for its world-class ski resorts and stunning alpine landscapes, Snowmass attracts outdoor enthusiasts year-round. Winter brings deep powdery slopes perfect for skiing and snowboarding, while the summer months offer an array of activities such as hiking, mountain biking, and fishing. Beyond its outdoor allure, Snowmass also boasts a charming village with a vibrant arts and culture scene, delectable dining options, and a warm, welcoming community. Whether you're seeking adventure on the slopes or a tranquil mountain retreat, Snowmass promises an unforgettable Rocky Mountain escape. And within this amazing little town, you'll find one of the finest dining experiences of your life - Duemani.

I'll state this from the start - Duemani is absolutely incredible from start to finish. After two visits, there is no doubt that the food superseded our expectations. During our first visit, we sat at the bar and enjoyed several of the bar specials and cocktails. The bar staff was kind, appreciative, humorous and generous with their time and attention. I said to my fiancé - "I already love this place." After 20 minutes at the bar, it was time to eat.

The first thing you need to know is that this is a great restaurant in the heart of Aspen and the restaurant has a reputation for being full, even on slower-than-expected days. As we ordered, our servers were extremely attentive and offered more cocktails from the menu. We also ordered an outstanding white burgundy from the extensive wine list. To start the meal, we ordered a delicious appetizer of caviar on tater tots with crème fraiche - unqiue and flavorful. Then, to fuel our fire, we also ordered all three of the 'tartares': tomato, salmon and tuna. Each one was more tasty than the last; different and delicious. For our entrees, we enjoyed a Dover sole & the bone in NY strip. Both were perfectly prepared. We said to each other - 'Duemani will definitely work firmly in our dining rotation during our next visit.'

Due to a work-related event, we returned to Aspen and decided to visit this wonderful spot again. Delicious food. Excellent ambiance. Friendly and attentive waitstaff who were also professional and masked (we appreciated this very much). The spacing between tables was also wonderful. For our second experience, the highlights were the east coast oysters, garlic bread, grilled octopus, cioppino, and an amazing steak! Once again, the wine selection was phenomenal! After our dinner, we decided that we would return again before leaving Aspen...so we asked the hostess if there was any chance two seats/one table would be available the next evening. And we were in luck! 8:00 pm - 2 seats.

During our second visit to Duemani, our party wanted to order everything off the menu because our first experience was amazing. And during our second experience, everything we ordered was outstanding. Without a doubt, the service was impeccable and attentive to our needs. The entire team was super-friendly and gracious. But the food itself, how truly amazing and delicious. Among many items we enjoyed, we ordered the burrata (truffle oil and honey combo was amazing) shrimp cocktail (we asked for horse radish and it was so fresh and spicy!) the bone-in ribeye (my fiancé said it was wonderful) the halibut (beyond yummy!) mashed potatoes (soft, flavorful) and broccolini (outstanding) and the lemon olive oil cake for dessert (top quality).

Additional comments: The quality of the fish here is outstanding. According to the manager, Duemani flies in fresh fish 4x week, and it truly shows. All of the main fish dishes were simply prepared with sea salt, pepper, lemon and a little bit of olive olive. Nothing to hide behind and we couldn't have been more impressed. For cocktail recommendations - consider the Berry Picker cocktail, for fish - the sea bass. If you're looking for a wonderful place that offers insanely high-quality fresh fish, this is your place.

When I return to Aspen in the future, there is no doubt that I'm definitely coming back to Duemani. However, allow this word of advice: this restaurant's prices are commensurate with the quality. It will be a pricey experience...but it's worth it.

Without question, Duemani is an exquisite dining experience is often more than just a meal; it's a symphony of flavors, an artful presentation, and a memorable journey for the senses. As you conclude such an experience, several elements come into play to make it truly special: the atmosphere and ambiance are amazing, the customer service is fantastic, the menu is remarkably diverse and the flavors are phenomenal.

Duemani is a multisensory journey that engages your taste buds, eyes, and emotions. It's a moment to appreciate the artistry of food, service, and ambiance, and to create lasting memories with your loved ones.
